Circle legal

Terms & Conditions

These terms set the ground rules for using Circle, publishing creator work and interacting with the community.

Effective: 1 October 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Circle. By creating an account or using Circle, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Circle.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Circle. If you are under the legal age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Where law requires parental consent for processing a child's data, that consent must also be provided.

  • Provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.
  • Keep your password secure and do not share access to your account.
  • Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade enforcement.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised access.

3. Creator content and licence

You retain ownership of the original content you post. You must have all rights and permissions needed to upload, publish and share it.

You grant Circle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for technical formats and distribute your content only as needed to operate, improve and promote Circle. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except where copies must remain for legal, safety, backup or shared-content purposes.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Circle to create, upload, send, promote or coordinate:

  • Illegal activity, fraud, scams, threats, exploitation or instructions that create a serious risk of harm.
  • Harassment, hateful conduct, targeted abuse or unwanted sexual content.
  • Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation or content that endangers minors.
  • Content that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights.
  • Spam, fake engagement, malware, scraping, unauthorised automation or attempts to bypass platform limits.
  • False reports, repeated report abuse or efforts to manipulate Circle's moderation systems.

5. Moderation and enforcement

Circle uses automated checks, report thresholds and human review to help enforce these terms. We may reduce distribution, hide, remove or preserve content; limit features; issue strikes; suspend accounts; or ban accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, integrity or legal compliance.

Enforcement may use context unavailable to other users. Automated systems can make mistakes, so eligible decisions may be appealed through Circle. Filing an appeal does not guarantee reversal.

6. Messaging and interactions

Treat other users respectfully and do not send spam or unwanted messages. Blocking, muting and reporting tools are provided for safety, but they do not guarantee that all unwanted interactions will be prevented. Do not rely on Circle for emergency communications.

7. Third-party services

Circle may rely on third-party services for sign-in, image storage, hosting, moderation and other features. Their services may be governed by separate terms. Circle is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.

8. Account restriction and termination

You may stop using Circle at any time. We may suspend, restrict or terminate access when you violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or when necessary to protect Circle or others. Provisions concerning licences, liability, disputes and enforcement survive where their nature requires it.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Circle is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific creator reach, collaborations, earnings, data preservation or that all harmful content will be detected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Circle will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in India will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or dispute procedures that apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Circle changes. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may be communicated in the app. Continuing to use Circle after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
